Hirepool Auckland City was the second Hirepool branch opened in the late fifties and was originally on the corner of East Street & Galatos Street. With the new Motorway underway, Hirepool Auckland City was shifted to it’s present location. This site was much smaller than it is presently and was upgraded in 1999 and then in 2008, the adjacent car sales yard was purchased to both increase the General Hire yard space and to house the Henderson Rentals Auckland City branch, who as part of the wider Hirepool family specialise in commercial vehicle rental.
