Manager Murray Adshead says it's an outstanding achievement considering there was strong competition from 54 site and 84 business units.
He says the accolade was testament to the dedicated team at Whangarei Hirepool who set high standards for customer service and equipment.
The branch, which is located in Commerce Street at a purpose-built site, specialises in servicing an array of customers from big to small contractors- with general hire equipment that includes everything from trailers to 5 tonne excavators.
They also have a modern fleet of Access equipment and aluminium scaffolding.
Murray says his team are well positioned to meet all contractors' needs and are open 6 days a week, with a staff of 6.
Hirepool also operates a custom in-house, computerised, rental point-of-sale system, which has been tailored to the business over the last 28 years. Hirepool were one of the first hire industry businesses to computerise, track and trace assets, record utilisation and integrate electronic purchasing systems linked to itemised assets.
Murray says they have a long, proud history of providing solutions to help build New Zealand.
